Nursing Program Director
• Surrey
You will be responsible for the nursing program at our Surrey campus. In
this key role, you will have the chance to influence the education and
future of Practical Nurses in BC. An excellent communicator, you will
negotiate health region affiliation agreements and secure clinical
placement sites for all required aspects of the PN program. You will
also be responsible for managing recruitment, training and the
supervision of nursing instructors for all areas of the PN program as
well as the recruitment and establishment of a program advisory
committee. A dynamic team builder, you will develop our curriculum and
learning/support materials and collaborate with management and staff to
achieve enrollment targets.
You have a Bachelor’s and ideally a Master’s degree(s) in Nursing
and are licensed as an RN in BC. You also have at least three years of
teaching experience in Nursing or a related healthcare field, three
years of RN practical experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of the
BCPN program requirements in order to develop and maintain approved PN
curriculum. An understanding of the educational system for nursing in
BC, especially as it applies to curriculum and clinical placement is
required.
